Let’s start with the cabinet. Several of them are in for a very rough ride. Trump is going to be criticized, both inside and outside of the hearings for having […]

For the life of me I can not understand why people keep supporting politicians who have been bought and paid for by the likes of the Koch brothers and the oil and gas industry.

The Republicans keep harping on the fact that Congress hasn’t passed a budget in three years. Does it matter? What is a budget anyway? A budget is just a piece of paper (well a document whether on paper in 1s and 0s stored in a computer somewhere.) A budget is a plan, a projection, a prediction, a hope, a DREAM. It outlines or summarizes what income and expenses will be. It shows how much income, where it will come from, and when it will be received.

My reaction to the elections is a bit delayed. I guess I’m still a little in shock. Needless to say I did not expect the outcome. When I discussed it with Professor Levine at UT and he predicted a 50 seat loss in the house. I REALLY thought that was impossible, I told him maybe 30 seats. WOW was I wrong! So, Renan, you were right and I was wrong.
I still don’t believe the American people have actually bought-in to the Tea Party agenda.
